Vizquel Plans To Become Bullfighter This Winter

Rangers infielder Omar Vizquel plans to try bullfighting when he returns to his native Venezuela this offseason.

"Just go and learn the basics and stuff," Vizquel told the Associated Press on Monday. "It's one of my things on the to-do list. There's a lot of things still to do."

Vizquel, 42, hopes to also try parachuting, flying in an F-16 jet and attending all three Triple Crown horse races.

He also already plans to return to baseball next spring for his 22nd season.

Report: Ryan Could Join Group Bidding For Rangers

Bidders that are looking to buy the Texas Rangers have had talks with Nolan Ryan about joining their investment group.

Ryan, the team's president, told the Dallas Morning News that he has had conversations about becoming a minority owner with Chuck Greenberg, a sports attorney from Pittsburgh.

"I've visited with Chuck Greenberg several times when they were in the process of looking at the organization," Ryan told MLB.com. "There is a possibility I could be involved. Right now, I'm in the mindset of waiting for this thing to develop. It's still in the early stages."
