Kazmir Set To Make Debut For Rays

Scott Kazmir will make his season debut for the Rays on Sunday against the Red Sox, according to the Associated Press.

He has missed the first month of the season because of an elbow injury, but made a his third successful rehabilitation start on Monday.

Manager Joel Maddon will have to decide which starting pitcher to option in order to make room for team's ace.

"All of these starters that you see doing well right now knew the competition was going to be rigid going through spring training," Maddon said. "Kaz gets hurt, but now they know Kaz is coming back. They can count. They have all pitched extremely well to this point and it is a tough decision. But it's one of those decisions a lot of teams would like to be faced with."
