The Tampa Bay Rays have announced that Jake Odorizzi will take David Price's turn in the rotation this week.
Price is on the disabled list with a triceps injury and Odorizzi's Triple-A work lined up perfectly to plug the hole.
The Rays acquired Odorizzi in the trade that sent James Shields and Wade Davis to the Kansas City Royals this past offseason.
The 23-year-old right-hander is 4-0 with a 3.83 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 47 strikeouts in 44 2/3 innings this season in Triple-A.

Matt Moore directed the Tampa Bay Rays to a 3-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday, improving his record to 8-0 on the season.
Moore gave up one run, struck out three and walked one to become the first eight-game winner in the majors.
The 23-year-old is the youngest lefty to start the season 8-0 since Ruth did it in 1917 at age 22.
"Historically speaking, it's been wonderful," Joe Maddon said of Moore's season.

David Price has landed on the disabled list for the first time in his career.
The Tampa Bay Rays placed Price on the DL with a strained left triceps.
"They're not overly concerned. The doctors just felt it was wise to calm it down right now," Joe Maddon said. "Our biggest concern ... is take your time with it so it doesn't pop back up. We have that in mind with everybody. With David, we'll utilize that same philosophy. I don't think, and we don't think, it's going to be an extended period of time."
Price, who left Wednesday night's start against Boston in the third inning, could miss two, maybe three starts if necessary.
"If that happens I'm fine with it," the manager said. "We have plans of playing in October. We're not getting there without him. So if it takes an extra start to make sure he's well, that's what we'll do."
