Mariners first baseman Russell Branyan is questionable for the remainder of the 2009 season.
Branyan, who leads Seattle with 31 home runs, has been out since Aug. 29 with a herniated disk.
"It doesn't look real promising right now that he'll finish the year," manager Don Wakamatsu said.

Mariners catcher Rob Johnson was hurt in the team's victory celebration at home plate on Friday.
Johnson was unavailable for Sunday's series finale against the Yankees after spraining his left ankle following Ichiro Suzuki's game-winning homer Friday night.
He was apparently jumping up and down in the right-handed batter's box and twisted his ankle in the hole where hitters dig in.
