The Giants and closer Brian Wilson have agreed to a one-year, $4.4 million deal, according to sources.
Wilson, who earned $480,000 in 2009, was third in the league with 38 saves last year.
"We're very proud of Brian, from the beginning when he was drafted to developing in our system," Giants vice president of baseball operations Bobby Evans said.
"He's done a great job and become such a meaningful part of our organization. He's been an important part of this ballclub."

A rumor made the rounds that when Pablo Sandoval went to Venezuela to play winter ball, he regained the 12 or 13 pounds he lost during Camp Panda in Arizona in the fall.
"No chance," Sandoval said.
The Giants feared a big weight gain in Venezuela when Sandoval was left to fend at the dinner table without the nutritional prepackaged meals he was given at Camp Panda.
"I was still eating the same portions," he said, "except Sunday. I went away from the diet."

Giants second baseman Freddy Sanchez has undergone left shoulder surgery and might not be ready by Opening Day.
San Francisco manager Bruce Bochy confirmed to The Associated Press on Thursday night that Sanchez had a recent arthroscopic procedure.
"He's going to be a little delayed," Bochy said in a phone interview. "It'll be close if he can go opening day or not."

The Giants do not have the roster flexibility to sign any more relievers or outfielders, despite the availability of Eric Byrnes and Xavier Nady.
The front office believes it has the depth it needs with Nate Schierholtz, John Bowker, Eugenio Velez, Andres Torres and Fred Lewis.

The Toronto Blue Jays acquired Merkin Valdez from the San Francisco Giants for cash considerations on Wednesday.
Valdez appeared in 48 games for the Giants last season, going 2-1 with a 5.66 earned-run average in his first full big-league season.
"He throws up to 98," Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos said via email. "We're just adding some depth, taking a shot on a power arm."
