Giants Will Be In Sabathia Market

The Giants will be in the market for CC Sabathia this winter as they determine how serious his interest is in returning to the Bay Area.

The team does not plan to wade into the rest of the market for starters. As Sabean said Monday, "We'll look heavily in the market for relief help. Whether we decide to do that with a starting pitcher remains to be seen because I think the price is going to be exorbitant."

While appearing on KNBR's Gary Radnich show, Barry Zito spoke candidly about several topics including his frame of mind.

"I'm falling in love with myself," said Zito.

Zito believes he made a breakthrough in his approach over the past six weeks and has found his old self again.

The Giants went 6-2 during Zito's final eight starts of the season. He gave up two or fewer earned runs in five of those eight starts and had a 3.15 ERA during the month of September.
