Giants Announce Coaching Staff, Wotus Will Remain Bench CoachRon Wotus will return as bench coach of the Giants under new manager Bruce Bochy after being passed up for the skipper job. The Giants announced their coaching staff Wednesday, featuring many of the same faces. The members of Bochy's staff are hitting coach Joe Lefebvre, pitching coach Dave Righetti, first-base coach Willie Upshaw, bullpen coach Mark Gardner and bullpen catcher Bill Hayes. Tim Flannery is the new third-base coach, replacing Gene Glynn. Ramirez is owed $14 million and $16 million, plus a total of $8 million in deferred salary, over the final two seasons of the eight-year, $168 million contract he signed with Boston.
