Injuries Continue, Hamels Sprains Ankle

Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels sprained his ankle in last night's win over the Nationals, but didn't immediately leave the game.

Hamels tested the ankle, and was visibly frustrated on the mound after suffering the injury while fielding a sacrifice bunt.

"It's not severe, so I'm not planning on missing a start," Hamels said after the game. "Obviously, we're going to see how it feels the next couple days, but I think it helps that we have an off day."

Rollins Predicts .400 Average In May

Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins is in the prediction business again, saying on Monday that he's ready to hit .400 for the month of May.

"I felt pretty good, ready to rock and roll," Rollins told The Inquirer after Monday's game. "I'm ready to hit .400 for the next month."

Rollins is hitting .192 with one home run through the season's first 17 games.

"Jimmy will get going," Philadelphia manager Charlie Manuel said. "He's what you call baseball. You don't do good all the time. The game will always test you."

Phils' Romero Sues Supplement Maker

Phillies reliever J.C. Romero has sued a nutritional supplement manufacturer alleging an unlisted ingredient in a product caused him to test positive for a substance banned by Major League Baseball, according to the Associated Press.

Romero was suspended for the first 50 games of the season.

He claims that he tested positive for steroids last August because a supplement he was taking, 6-OXO Extreme, did not specify it included androstenedione, a banned substance.
