According to the Phillies, Ryan Howard is seeking new representation after parting ways with Larry Reynolds.
Howard made $355,000 last season. He was the best bargain in baseball as he led the majors with 58 homers and 149 RBI while hitting a team-best .313.
"He's obviously due for a big raise," assistant general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said.
Howard fired his first agent, St. Louis-based Jim Turner.
When Howard was stuck in Triple-A behind Jim Thome, Reynolds faxed the Phillies a trade request.

On Monday, a baseball source said that the Phillies have come to an agreement with outfielder Jayson Werth, who was cut free by the Los Angeles Dodgers last week. Werth, 27, did not play last season because of a left wrist injury that cost him part of 2005 as well.
Werth will have to pass a physical before he signs any contract, which could happen as early as today. Contract terms were not available.
