The Mets will not entertain the idea of trading center fielder Carlos Beltran this winter, according to sources.
Instead, the team is expected to add pieces to their roster as they look to turnaround following a few disappointing seasons.
A story in the Boston Herald recently suggested that the Mets might deal Beltran to the Red Sox if Boston isn't able to re-sign Jason Bay.
Beltran has two years, each at $18.5 million left on his contract.
