Kansas guard Brandon Rush tore his ACL in his right knee, meaning he may not play for the Jayhawks until December, a high-ranking Kansas source told ESPN.com Monday night.

The school expects to see a final review of Rush's MRI Tuesday. The test results were sent to a Denver specialist over the weekend. An announcement is due Tuesday or early Wednesday from the school.

Rush injured his ACL Thursday during a pickup game and then withdrew from the NBA draft Friday afternoon.

Ex-Nova Star Howard Porter Dies From Beating Injuries At Age 58

Former Villanova basketball star Howard Porter died Sunday from injuries he sustained after he was found severely beaten in a Minneapolis alley last week.

Porter was drafted 32nd overall by the Bulls in 1971 and spent three seasons in Chicago.

The 58-year-old Porter was a probation officer for Ramsey County, but it was unclear whether the beating was connected to his job. Police said no one had been arrested and they had no suspects.

"The entire Villanova family is saddened by the news of Howard's death," Villanova coach Jay Wright said. "Howard provided so many Villanovans with thrills on the basketball court playing for Coach [Jack] Kraft. Since his playing days ended, he has been an outstanding role model for our current players and coaching staff.

Florida A&M Coach Charged With Stalking Woman

Florida A&M University basketball coach Mike Gillespie Sr. was arrested Friday on a misdemeanor stalking charge and later released from jail on a $1,000 bond.

Police said they were called Friday morning by a woman, who said she was stalked at work Thursday evening and Friday morning. She had told authorities on May 15 of Gillespie's advances, but didn't want to file charges, hoping he'd stop contacting her, a police report said.

The report said police have investigated Gillespie several times since March 2005 on stalking complaints and warned the 56-year-old to stop his behavior. It was not immediately clear who made the complaints.
