The Twins announced Thursday that they had formally signed Jason Kubel to a two-year, $7.2 million contract with a $5.25 million club option for 2011. The deal was first reported last week when the two sides agreed to the terms of the contract, but the team had to await the results of a physical before officially announcing it.
Kubel's deal could end up totaling as much as $12.25 million.
