For the first time this season, the Timberwolves finally had their starting point guard back on the court. Randy Foye played in Chicago for the first time in 43 games, scoring 11 points in 17 minutes, but the Wolves fell to the Bulls 96-85.
"It feels great," Foye said before the game. "Just to get back out there is going to be fun for me."
Foye was not listed in the starting lineup, and Coach Randy Wittman said his minutes will be limited, "until he gets his feet back under him."

The Minnesota Timberwolves today assigned rookie forward Chris Richard to their NBA Development League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Richard, who is the 27th NBA player assigned to the D-League this season, is the first Timberwolves player to be assigned to the Skyforce.
Richard, 6-9, 255-pounds, has appeared in 24 games for the Timberwolves, averaging 1.3 points and 1.9 rebounds in 9.2 minutes, including a 10-point performance against Seattle on Dec. 14. Richard averaged 3.5 points and 4.8 rebounds, while shooting 54 percent from the field, in four games at the 2007 Toshiba Vegas Summer League.

The Orlando Magic’s Hedo Turkoglu and the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Al Jefferson today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Jan 21 through Sunday, Jan. 27.
Turkoglu guided Orlando to a 3-1 week, including wins over Eastern Conference leaders Detroit and Boston. Leading the Magic in scoring in all four games, Turkoglu averaged 25.5 points on .492 shooting from the field and .500 shooting from three-point range.
Jefferson led the Timberwolves to a 3-1 week, averaging 28.8 points and 12.8 rebounds.
According to RealGM's season FIC totals, Jefferson is ranked 14th amongst all players this season while Turkoglu is 34th.
