Milwaukee Brewers Wiretap

Weeks Will Discuss Deal Until Spring Training

Rickie Weeks is open to discussing a new contract with the Brewers, but he won't do so after spring training.

Milwaukee general manager Gord Ash says the team hasn't been formally told of the second baseman's request, but he believes it's a good thing to wrap up talks that started in December.

Weeks hit .269 with 29 home runs and 83 RBIs last season.

Brewers Eager To Try Out New $11M Videoboard

Milwaukee's new scoreboard, estimated to cost between $9 and $11 million, will be a state-of-the-art board featuring picture quality you might find at home.

The MLB, however, doesn't permit teams to show controversial calls made by umpires.

Rick Schlesinger, the Brewers' executive vice president of business operations, told Marquette University law students on Thursday that he would like MLB to change.
