Brewers closer Trevor Hoffman recorded the 599th save of his career on Sunday against the Pirates.
Baseball's all-time saves leader is looking forward to the next.
"Round numbers are really what baseball looks at," Hoffman said.
"If this is the last season, it would be hard to walk away knowing you are one shy of a big number," said Hoffman, who hasn't decided if he'll pitch in 2011. "But in the big picture it's still a body of work."

Brewers pitcher Yovani Gallardo and a clubhouse attendant were robbed at gunpoint early Friday morning.
The incident occurred after Gallardo pitched against the Dodgers on Thursday night.
According to WTMJ-AM, an armed man approached the two in a supermarket parking lot demanding money and jewelry and that Sanchez was hit in the head but not seriously injured.
Gallardo signed a $30.1 million, five-year contract extension earlier this year.

The Brewers weren't able to sign first-round pick Dylan Covey after he opted for college in the wake of a diabetes diagnosis.
Milwaukee drafted the right-hander with the 14th overall pick in June's First-Year Player Draft.
On Monday, only a few hours before the deadline for teams and their picks to come to terms, came word with 95 percent certainty that Covey had Type 1 diabetes.
Covey declined Milwaukee's contract offer and said he would instead attend the University of San Diego.
"There was no time. We just had to make a decision," said Darrell Covey, Dylan's father. "Based on the information we had and the gut feeling we had, we felt that going to school was the best option. I want everyone to know that the Brewers were amazing, and they are as heartbroken as we are. But we had to go with the gut.
"We just got thrown a curveball, and it was a nasty curveball. Like Dylan's, with late break. Those are very difficult to hit. This is very hard. This is a kid who has been dreaming of playing Major League Baseball his whole life."
As compensation for not signing their first-round pick, the Brewers will get an extra first-round selection in next year's draft, in addition to their regularly scheduled pick.

The Brewers released Jody Gerut on Friday.
Gerut, 32, was first activated from the disabled list, which he had been on since May 23 with a bruised left heel that seemed to take forever to get better. The team expected Gerut's injury would sideline him for a couple of weeks and maybe a touch longer at the worst, but Gerut was in a walking boot until the Brewers sent him home July 8 to continue his rehabilitation.
He was finally sent on a rehab assignment with the rookie club in Arizona on July 25, and he hit .347 with two home runs and 11 runs batted in during his 14 games.
However, because it took Gerut so long to return, the team made moves to replace him on the roster.
