Mike Cameron expected to be dealt to the Yankees, as the Brewers nearly came to terms several times on a trade, but he's glad to still be in Milwaukee.
"I would have understood if they (had made the trade)," said Cameron. "I know it was to give them some financial space. I was kind of surprised when they picked up my option because of the situation they were in, with so many young guys coming into arbitration.
"It's a blessing to be here still. I would have missed these guys for sure. I really enjoyed last season with these guys. This team has one of the best young cores of anybody in baseball."

The Brewers reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with reliever Braden Looper on Monday.
Milwaukee general manager Doug Melvin said that the deal has yet to be finalized, and there is rumored to be an option for the 2010 season in the agreement.
"A physical is part of the deal," said Melvin, who added that he was "optimistic" that Looper would be pitching for the Brewers this season.
The deal is expected to be worth around $5 million for this season.
