The Brewers have made long-term contract offers to both Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun but don't appear optimistic about reaching agreements anything soon, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
"We are having a number of discussions with our young players and their agents, and we'll see where it goes," team owner Mark Attanasio said.
"From their standpoint, they're all young and in the upswing of their careers. They're not in any rush, and if I were 23, I'd probably not be in any rush, either," he added.

As expected, the Brewers on Thursday placed Chris Capuano on the 15-day disabled list, as reported by Yahoo Sports.
Capuano visited the renowned Dr. James Andrews in Alabama on Wednesday, at which point he underwent a second MRI on his injured left elbow that revealed a sprained ulnar collateral ligament.

The Brewers have identified Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun as players they would like to give multi-year contracts to.
"I've had general discussions with Doug about it," said Scott Boras Fielder's agent. "We talked about sitting down with Mark during the course of the year and talking about it."
