Juan Carlos Oviedo has been suspended for eight weeks by Major League Baseball for age and identity fraud.
The Marlins reliever can participate in extended spring training and will be eligible to play in the major leagues July 23.
He'll be eligible for one rehabilitation assignment in the minor leagues for a maximum 16 days.
Oviedo was caught playing under the fake name of Leo Nunez and spent the offseason in the Dominican Republic clearing up his immigration status.

Hanley Ramirez has adapted well to third base after an offseason of perceived controversy.
The Marlins shifted Ramirez to third after they signed shortstop Jose Reyes as a free agent.
In 46 games, Ramirez had one error, which was tied with Washington's Ryan Zimmerman for the second fewest by a National League third baseman.
And his .990 fielding percentage was second to Philadelphia's Placido Polanco, who is a perfect 1.000, not committing an error in 41 games.
"He's a good athlete, and he's fundamentally sound," said bench coach Joey Cora, who works with the infielders. "He puts a lot of time into it. He wants to be good."

Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen has given Heath Bell another vote of confidence as his closer.
Even after another ninth-inning struggle on Saturday, Guillen reiterated that the right-hander is "the main guy" moving forward.
"He's our main guy and we're going to continue to give him opportunities to get the ball out there," Guillen said.
"The only way you're going to come out [of it] is pitching -- pitching and create confidence."

Giancarlo Stanton's latest huge blast entered him into a record book of sorts.
He hit a home run on Friday night that hit the outfield sculpture at Marlins Park. He is the first to do so.
The sculpture animates when a home run is hit by a Marlins player.
The home run was the 10th this month for Stanton, and his 11th of the season. The estimated distance was 409 feet.

Emilio Bonifacio, who was successful in his first 20 stolen base attempts, will have surgery on his injured left thumb and is expected to be sidelined four to six weeks.
The Marlins center fielder already was on the disabled list after he jammed his hand on a dive into first base last Friday.
"It's a long season," Ozzie Guillen said. "Nobody goes through with the same 25 guys all season. The team that covers those holes is the team that is going to have a better chance to win."
Bonifacio was batting .268 with three triples, and he was 20 for 21 in steal attempts.
