Dodgers Eyeing Four For Fourth OF Spot

The Dodgers are looking at four players to assume the role of fourth outfielder.

Los Angeles is considering Garret Anderson, Brian Giles, Gabe Gross and Reed Johnson, according to sources.

The Dodgers opened up a spot in the outfield when they traded Juan Pierre to the White Sox last month.

Dodgers Re-Sign Brad Ausmus

The Dodgers re-signed reserve catcher Brad Ausmus to a one-year deal on Tuesday.

The contract guarantees Ausmus $1 million.

"Brad provided us with a very strong presence off the bench last season, and his contributions were many, both on and off the field," general manager Ned Colletti said.

Ausmus hit .295 with nine RBIs in 36 games as Russell Martin's backup last season.

Dodgers Re-Sign Ronnie Belliard

Dodgers re-signed veteran infielder Ronnie Belliard to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

A source told ESPN.com that the deal is worth a base salary of $825,000 with performance bonuses enhancing its value.

Belliard came to the Dodgers in a three-player trade with Washington on Aug. 30 after he cleared waivers.

He hit .351 and posed a .398 on-base percentage.
