Former Giants trainer Stan Conte was hired Friday by the Dodgers as director of medical services and head athletic trainer.
Stan Johnston, who spent the last seven seasons as the Dodgers' head athletic trainer, will remain with the organization's training staff and work directly with Conte on all club medical issues.

Even though Steve Lyons was fired by FOX over the weekend, he will keep his part-time analyst gig with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He will, however, be required to attend diversity training.
Of the diversity training, Lyons said, "I'm happy to do it."
Of the probationary guidelines, he said, "They give the Dodgers the right to fire me if there are any other transgressions, but I think they'd have that right anyway."
