Morales Homers From Both Sides In Same Inning

Kendrys Morales homered from both sides of the plate during a nine-run sixth inning for the Angels in their 15-8 win over the Rangers on Monday night.

"I'm very excited since it's not an easy thing to do," said Morales, who spoke through an interpreter. "They were good pitches, perhaps mistakes they made. I felt comfortable, and I was able to connect."

He is just the third player in baseball history to accomplish the feat.

Morales connected for a two-run shot as a lefty off Texas starter Roy Oswalt that put the Angels ahead 5-3. He then hit a grand slam off Robbie Ross from the right side.

Greinke Isn't Concerned About Free Agency

Zack Greinke, who was acquired by the Angels on Friday night from the Brewers, will be a free agent this coming winter.

The right-hander is in the final year of a four-year, $38 million contract.

"I haven't talked to my agent or anyone since I got traded, but this is an organization that probably everyone in baseball wants to be a part of," Greinke said.

"I'm just focusing on playing and hopefully winning as many games as possible. That's all that's going on my mind at the moment."

Angels Acquire Zack Greinke

The Angels have acquired Zack Greinke in a trade with the Brewers for Jean Segura and two Double-A pitchers in John Hellweg and Ariel Pena.

The three prospects are ranked second, fourth and ninth respectively by Baseball America.

Milwaukee acquired Greinke in December of 2010 in a trade with the Royals.

Trout's OPS Increases With Each Plate Appearance

Mike Trout is having a remarkable rookie season with the Angels and he keeps breaking the mold.

The outfielder hasn't just been consistent, but has also improved as the season and each game wears on.

His on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS) goes up with every plate appearance he makes in a game -- .745 in his first, 1.108 in his second, then 1.323 and 1.474.

"For me, seeing the pitcher a second a third time has really been the key," Trout said.

"Because then I get to see what they've got, and anticipate how they're going to play me."
