"If we needed a DH, I think Barry Bonds would be a great fit. I mean, he's one of the best hitters in the game. Why not have him?" Hunter was then asked what kind of effect Bonds might have on the clubhouse in Toronto. "I think he'd be a good fit. It's a different scene, a different clubhouse. That's Vernon Wells' clubhouse, you've got to respect that.. Trust me, he's a great guy, I know him pretty well. I think he's a pretty good guy in his own way. You've just got to get to know Barry," Torii added. A source close to the White Sox said that Williams began sending out "feelers" about two weeks ago regarding his interest in Figgins. "That's an interesting name, and a name that I, yeah ... they're a pretty good team and they need ... I'm talking about the guys that will ultimately be available, and I don't know if they will be any better than what we already got," Williams said Tuesday. "Again, the key phrase being that they will ultimately be available. Not that I can't sit here and play the fantasy game. Hell, I can play that game and come up with a bunch of people.
