Maroth has been invited to the Royals' Major League Spring camp in Surprise, Ariz. Maroth, 30, is 50-67 with a 5.05 ERA in 161 games (150 starts) in a six-year Major League career with the Tigers (2002-2007) and Cardinals (2007). Maroth, who won a career high 15 in 2005, went a combined 5-7 with a 6.89 ERA in 27 games (20 starts) for Detroit and St. Louis last season.
