Marlins Selling Unused Tickets To Halladay's Perfect Game

The Marlins are selling unused tickets to Saturday's game against the Phillies, during which Philadelphia's Roy Halladay threw a perfect game.

The tickets will go on sale Tuesday and will be sold at "face value."

Marlins Expect To Bring Up Stanton Next Month

With Jason Heyward in town, the talk in the Marlins clubhouse naturally turned to the organization's own phenom, Mike Stanton.

Gonzalez said that although he keeps an eye on all of the Marlins prospects in Triple A and Double A, Stanton is ``obviously . . . the big elephant in the room.''

The Marlins still haven't decided if or when Stanton will be brought up to the big leagues. But Cody Ross said he expects it to happen sometime next month.

Two weeks ago, AOL Fanhouse speculated that June 5 was the date that would preclude Stanton and other young phenoms from qualifying for Super Two status -- the difference between those players' salaries growing enormously in 2014 instead of 2013.

"They've seen the kid in spring training and know how the kid is. He's a humble kid, a good kid," Gonzalez said of the talk in the clubhouse. "They're pulling for him and they want to see him and they want to be his teammates. They get the Twitter updates, the e-mails and they know when he has a home run or hits a 560-foot shot.

"[Dan] Meyer was there the day he did. He couldn't wait to come in and tell the whole team how far this kid hit the ball. They love him."

Dawson, Perez Took Ramirez Aside For Lecture

Hall of Famers Andre Dawson and Tony Perez took Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez aside and gave him a lecture on Tuesday.

Dawson and Perez let Ramirez know that he had to apologize for failing to hustle and showing up his manager.

Both Hall of Famers, who are both special assistants to Marlins team president David Samson, talked to Ramirez for 15 minutes.

On Monday night, he was benched in the second inning for failing to hustle after a kicked ball.
