The Phillies grabbed the lead in the NL East with a dominating win over the Marlins on Friday night, according to MLB.com.
Philadelphia won 12-3, despite trailing 3-0 after the first inning. The Phillies scored seven runs in the second to grab hold of the game and never let go.
Brett Myers struck out eleven batters, settling down despite the rough first inning. Chase Utley blasted a pair of home runs, giving him eighteen for the season.
The Phillies, who have now won five-straight, hold a .5 game lead over the Marlins in the division.

Giants' shortstop Omar Vizquel set the major league record for games played at his position Sunday, playing in both games of a doubleheader against the Marlins.
Vizquel raised his games played total to 2,584, passing fellow Venezuelan Luis Aparicio, as reported by Yahoo.com.

Marlins' second baseman Dan Uggla believes that the best strategy in baseball is not to think, according to The Miami Herald.
"It's better to stay stupid in this sport," Uggla said.
Uggla is red-hot this month, hitting .435 with 10 home runs and an OPS of 1.578.
"I don't try to analyze anything or try to figure anything out," he said. "You just ride the wave as long as you can."
