A major league executive has labeled this summer's trade market as a weak one.
"There is just not very much movement at all," one executive said. "I count only six teams that are ready to sell."
The executive listed the Cubs, Astros, Rockies, Athletics, Mariners and Twins as sellers.

If the Cubs are going to trade Matt Garza before next month's non-waiver trade deadline, they are going to have to receive a significant offer.
An American League executive says Chicago is using "the Ubaldo Jimenez deal" as a model in talks regarding the right-hander.
That means the Cubs will demand two young, controllable players with big upside.

Troy Tulowitzki says that chronic pain in his left groin has bothered him throughout the season.
The ailment has kept the Rockies shortstop from being the complete player we saw in 2010 and 2011.
Tulowitzki, who was charged with only six errors last season, made six errors in the first 11 games this season.
"At times, maybe, you are more careful because you are thinking about it," he said. "I was so used to throwing on the run, and now I was setting my feet, and it was a little different.
"It wasn't quite me. It wasn't that free and easy game that I had. I was thinking about things instead of just being myself."

The Rockies optioned right-hander Alex White to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Monday, ending their four-man starting rotation experiment.
Drew Pomeranz, who was sent down in May to correct delivery flaws, is under consideration for a promotion.
White has posted a 9.58 ERA with 18 hits and 10 walks in 10 1/3 innings in his last three starts.
Colorado acquired White and Pomeranz from Cleveland in the Ubaldo Jimenez trade last year.
