Talbot Leaves After 14 Pitches

Indians starter Mitch Talbot left Sunday's game against the Twins after only 14 pitches because of shoulder inflammation.

Talbot walked Minnesota's Denard Span on five pitches, then yielded back-to-back singles to Orlando Hudson and Joe Mauer before he was taken out of the game.

Indians Call Up Carlos Carrasco

The Indians have promoted right-hander Carlos Carrasco, first baseman/outfielder Jordan Brown and right-handed reliever Jensen Lewis from Triple-A Columbus.

Carrasco started the Tribe's Wednesday afternoon series finale against the White Sox at Progressive Field and will remain in the starting rotation until season's end.

He pitched very well against Chicago, allowing just three runs over 7 1/3 innings.
