Cleveland has $48.1 million committed to Travis Hafner ($11.5 million), Jake Westbrook ($11), Kerry Wood ($10.5), Grady Sizemore ($5.6), Fausto Carmona ($4.9) and Jhonny Peralta ($4.6). The Indians opened the 2009 season with a payroll of $81.5 million, which put them in the middle of the major leagues.
