Quentin Feels Comfortable Turning Down Exension Offer

Carlos Quentin felt comfortable with his current $550,000 contract after turning down an offer that was believed to be worth more than the four-year, $15 million deal pitcher Gavin Floyd received.

"There are no hard feelings," said Quentin, who had 36 home runs and 100 RBIs last season despite missing the final 28 games because of a broken wrist. "I do have a 2009 contract that I'm very happy with. Since I've been here, I've had a good relationship with the White Sox organization, and I look to continue that good relationship and that open communication, so everything is positive."
