Garland Can't See A Return To The White Sox

Jon Garland will be a free agent after this season and he doesn't expect a return to the White Sox to be a possibility.

"My feeling is if they wanted to keep me, they would have kept me," said Garland about returning to Chicago.

"I haven't thought about it at all, to tell you the truth,'' Garland said of becoming a free agent. "Early on, I was pressing. Trying to be here for my teammates and try to show what I was capable of doing. I got caught up in trying to do too much. I made a few mechanics changes. Keep the ball down and going strong and not worrying about what's going to happen."

Guillen: Fans Must Trust In Turnaround

White Sox Manager Ozzie Guillen says that the team's fans must trust that a turnaround is on the horizon, according to the Chicago Tribune.

His latest comments come just a day after using a profanity-laced tirade to knock fans that have jumped off the bandwagon at the beginning of the season.

"I don't blame them," Guillen told reporters Monday night. "I just tell the fans to be patient, that's all. Be patient. The only ones who can believe in this team are me and them. That's why they're fans. I don't blame the fans to say, 'Here we go again,' because I'm a fan also."

"I'm a baseball fan, a Chicago White Sox fan. Be patient and make sure those guys out there aren't panicking. I know we've got a good club. I know we can hit, I know our pitching staff is good. We went through a lot of difficulty, and the pitching staff is doing well, and when I have a good pitching staff, everything should be back and set up," Guillen added.

Ozzie Goes Off On Chicago Fans And Media

Ozzie Guillen went on a profanity-laced tirade about the Chicago fans and media on Sunday in Toronto.

"Right now everyone in Chicago is making lineups -- 'Call up this guy, call up that guy.' ... If we had 50 people allowed on the roster, we could do that. That's what ticks me off about Chicago fans and Chicago media: They forget pretty quickly. A couple of days ago we were the [bleeping] best [stuff] in town. Now we're [bleep]," Guillen said to the aforementioned Chicago media before the game.
