Danks Wins Job As White Sox's 5th Starter

White Sox rookie John Danks got a pleasant surprise Saturday when he was summoned into manager Ozzie Guillen's office.

He got word he'd won the job as Chicago's fifth starter. "I thought I was going to the other side," Danks said. "It's usually not good when you get called in, but I'm excited about it. Now I have to go out there and do the job."

Orioles Claim Tracy From White Sox, Transfer Benson To 60-Day DL

The Orioles claimed right-hander Sean Tracey off waivers from the White Sox on Friday and transferred right-hander Kris Benson to the 60-day disabled list.

Uribe Hearing Postponed

A Dominican court postponed a hearing Friday for White Sox shortstop Juan Uribe to give prosecutors more time to investigate allegations he shot a farmer last October.

The 27-year-old is at spring training in Arizona and did not appear at the court in San Cristobal province.
