The Cubs have agreed to send pitcher Ted Lilly and infielder Ryan Theriot to the Dodgers in exchange for infielder Blake DeWitt and pitching prospects Brett Wallach and Kyle Smit.
Chicago is also sending $2.5 million to Los Angeles to cover part of the $4.25 million left on Lilly's contract this year.

Derrek Lee has rejected a proposed trade that would have sent him to the Los Angeles Angels.
Lee made the following statement regarding his decision.
"There may be a time when I'm ready to talk about it, but not now," Lee said.
Ken Rosenthal said despite the proposed deal he has learned that the Angels have pulled back a little bit with their buyer-mentality after falling 8.5 games behind the Texas Rangers.
