The Boston Red Sox have been the cream of the crop for 2007, while the Cincinnati Reds are once again struggling to stay respectable. Heading out of Memorial Day weekend, we are starting to see which teams are destined for the playoffs are which are destined for a top five pick in 2008. Read on to see which teams are slotted where as we head into June.

1. (1) Boston Red Sox (34-15):

They are sixth in baseball in team ERA and fourth in team batting average with room to improve. Look for runaway success all the way through October.

2. (3) New York Mets (32-17):

Losing outfielder Shawn Green for the foreseeable future will hurt the offensive production and force the Mets to rely on their youngsters more.

3. (2) Cleveland Indians (31-17):

They have won six of seven games, including sweeping a weekend series at the Detroit Tigers to propel themselves into first place.

Big Papi Not In Starting Lineup

Red Sox DH David Ortiz was not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Rangers because of sore hamstrings.

"I wanted to give him today and let the medical people give him a little care," manager Terry Francona said. "Hopefully he'll bounce back and feel good tomorrow. I don't want him to limp for the next couple of weeks because we got greedy trying to get another game here." Francona also said Ortiz has had bouts of dehydration in the past week. Boston pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka left Friday's game after five innings because of nausea and dehydration.

Beckett To Start Tuesday Against Indians

Boston's Josh Beckett -- who has seven wins -- said he will start Tuesday night against the Indians.

Beckett (7-0) has been on the disabled list since May 19 with a right middle finger injury. He threw 70 pitches in a bullpen session Saturday.

"This was the last hurdle," Beckett said. "I just wanted to be smart with this thing."
