Braves Farm Report: Teheran Continues Strong Single-A Season

Julio Teheran didn't have the same strikeout stuff he had in his previous start when he fanned 12 batters, but he threw six scoreless innings in his Wednesday start.

Pitching for high Single-A Myrtle Beach, Teheran has an ERA of 0.69 and WHIP of 0.92.

Teheran has yet to give up more than two earned runs in any of his 2010 start.

Jurrjens To Miss At Least Three More Weeks

Braves starting pitcher Jair Jurrjens will miss at least three more weeks of action with a left hamstring injury.

An MRI on Thursday didn't reveal a significant tear in the hamstring, but it showed enough swelling to keep Jurrjens out.

He was expected to be activated this weekend.

"It could be worse; it could be a really bad tear, but still if you put the weeks together it's a long time," Jurrjens said.

"You feel like you're going crazy. It stinks. Everybody is dealing with their own injuries, but at least they're able to help the team out. Just being on the sideline and not to be able to do anything for the team is a really bad feeling."

Braves Sign Mike Daniel

The Braves have signed Minor League free agent Mike Daniel.

Daniel, once considered one of the more promising hitters in the Washington organization, was released by the Nationals on Tuesday.

Daniel has struggled the last few years; spending most of last season with AA Harrisburg, as well as 11 games with AAA Syracuse, he hit just .253 with a .692 OPS, along with 7 home runs, 44 RBI, and a career high 7 triples.
