McCann On Citizens Bank Park: This Is A High School Field

Ryan Howard hit two homers off Atlanta on Friday evening at Citizens Bank Park.

?He?s got so much power, and this is a high school field,? Braves catcher Brian McCann said of Howard, who has four homers and seven RBIs in his past two games against the Braves, including a two-homer game Aug. 16 at Atlanta.

Hudson To Pitch For Braves In Florida

Tim Hudson will start for the Braves on Monday in Florida.

He hasn't pitched for Atlanta since blowing out his elbow in a start against the Marlins on July 23, 2008.

Hudson went 1-1 with a 3.86 ERA in six rehab starts.

"[Hudson] told me he could have pitched a month ago in relief," manager Bobby Cox said. "But he's a starter, and we wanted to do the right thing, coming off the operation and he could be a free agent."

The right-hander has a $12 million option for 2010, but could become a free agent if the Braves decline it or he vetoes it.

Body Found On Chipper Jones' Ranch

The body of a man was found on Chipper Jones' family ranch in Texas on Thursday morning.

"He was in a part of the ranch we don't go to on a daily basis," the third baseman's father, Larry Jones Sr. said, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The man, a Mexican national, had entered the country illegally.

The heat wave and drought in the area would make it hard for anyone to survive without food and water.
