Chipper Jones Not Against HGH Testing

Braves' third baseman Chipper Jones isn't against more testing for human growth hormone, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

"I don't care," Jones told the Constitution on Tuesday. "I'm not on anything so it doesn't bother me. The only people I would say who would object would be people afraid of needles or who are on something."

He added, "I'm sure the players' association would have something to say about it."

Braves' Hampton Attempts Another Comeback

Braves' pitcher Mike Hampton stares toward home plate and delivers a pitch that sweeps across the outside corner. Teammate Mark Kotsay never gets the bat off his shoulder.

The veteran nods approvingly toward the mound. ?That?s better,? Kotsay says.

For Hampton, it?s another step in one of baseball?s longest-running comebacks, as reported by the Associated Press.

Braves Insist Hampton Is Healthy

The Atlanta Braves claim that left-handed pitcher Mike Hampton is healthy and will be ready for spring training, according to ESPN.

"He's fine. He's 100 percent," General Manager Frank Wren told the ESPN. "He has no restrictions going into spring training."

Hampton has made eight trips to the disabled list since the Braves acquired him from the Marlins in 2002.
