Webb Losses Second-Straight Monday

Brandon Webb lost his second-straight game on Monday against the Braves, according to The Associated Press.

Webb began the season 9-0, including a pair of complete games against the same Atlanta team that roughed him up on Monday.

He gave up a season-high 10 hits, the most he's surrendered since 2006.

"I just wasn't sharp," Webb said. "I started off and everything they hit seemed to find holes. I wasn't working ahead and didn't have a real good fastball. My velocity was down. I got a lot of strikeouts, but it didn't seem like I could ever make the big pitch when it counted."

He lost his previous appearance to the Marlins.

He will pitch against the Braves.

Davis will replace rookie Max Scherzer, who has pitched extremely well, in the rotation.

Zambrano, Johnson Held Due To Weather

The Diamondbacks and Cubs withheld their scheduled starters on Sunday afternoon because of heavy rain and strong winds, according to The Associated Press.

Carlos Zambrano and Randy Johnson were scheduled to start for their respective teams, but the Cubs' Sean Gallagher and the D-Backs' Edgar Gonzalez took their places on the mound.

Zambrano will start on Monday against the Padres while Johnson will likely start on Tuesday against the Rockies.

Zambrano had planned to wear pink cleats in honor of Mother's Day and MLB's annual dedication to Breast Cancer Awareness.
