The Cubs' Alfonso Soriano underwent an MRI Tuesday night after hurting his right calf while catching Ken Griffey?s fly ball to end the top of the first inning.

How long he will be out was unclear, and test results were going to be released on Wednesday, according to an Associated Press report.

?It?ll probably be a while,? Manager Lou Piniella said. ?If he?s out an extended period, it will hurt us.?
