The Red Sox placed World Series' MVP Mike Lowell on the 15-day disabled list Thursday, one day after he sprained his left thumb diving for a ground ball, according to an Associated Press report.

?I was a little disappointed waking up this morning because I thought I?d feel a lot better,? Lowell said after the Red Sox beat the Tigers. ?I?m kind of in limbo. I?m not really so sure.?
