Doug Davis has been placed on the 15-day disabled list by the Diamondbacks on Wednesday as he prepares to undergo cancer treatment, according to the Associated Press.

Davis won in his last start before his battle begins, downing the Dodgers 10-5 on Tuesday night.

He was diagnosed with thyroid cancer a few weeks before the 2008 season began.
