The Pirates have placed shortstop Jack Wilson on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 4, with a left calf strain, as reported by the Associated Press.

Wilson left Thursday?s game at Atlanta after he hit a seventh inning single and aggravated the injury during the run to first. He missed the past two games against Florida.
