The Rockies on Saturday placed righthander Luis Vizcaino on the 15-day disabled list with a right shoulder strain, as reported by Yahoo.com.

Vizcaino allowed four runs and five hits in 1 1/3 innings while walking three and striking out one in two games this season for the Rockies, who signed him as a free agent over the winter.
