Pedro Martinez left his start for the Mets against the Marlins on Tuesday night after 57 pitches, according to the Associated Press.
The team claims that he suffered from a torn hamstring.
Martinez retired Matt Treanor on a groundout in the fourth inning and immediately began grabbing his back and midsection.
He allowed four earned runs in a little more than four innings of work.
