The Tigers don't anticipate that they will be able to trade third baseman Brandon Inge before the start of the regular season, according to The Ledger.

"A lot of times, these things don't happen until the end of spring training after teams have had a chance to evaluate their own talent," GM Dave Dombrowski said.

"Of course, we understand Brandon's position, and we'll do whatever we can to accommodate him," Dombrowski added. "If some other club comes up with a deal that makes sense, we'd listen, but we're not going to give him (Inge) away."
