Curt Schilling's injured shoulder may not keep him from traveling to Japan with the Red Sox to open the 2008 season, according to the Associated Press.

Of course he won't pitch, but there is no risk of furthering his injury on the flight overseas. Schilling is expected to be out until after the All-Star break.

Teammate Josh Beckett may stay behind because his back spasms could be exacerbated by the long flight.
