Right-hander Rich Harden could be available to pitch for the Oakland Athletics out of the bullpen as soon as Sunday after being sidelined more than a month with a strained muscle below his throwing shoulder. "He may be available tomorrow, depending how he feels," pitching coach Curt Young said Saturday after the A's rallied to beat the Texas Rangers 7-6. "That would be good, very encouraging." Harden threw a 31-pitch simulated game Friday, then played light catch in the outfield Saturday. He reported normal soreness in his shoulder, but didn't experience the same pain in the spot of the injury. "It feels like I went out and threw yesterday," said Harden, out since Aug. 19 with the injury. "It's sore around all those muscles around the area, but not in that spot. That's a good sign. It shows I'm getting stronger."
