The New York Mets are rumored to be interested in Oakland first baseman Dan Johnson, according to the San Francisco Gate.

The Mets might be in need of a fill-in for Carlos Delgado, who could miss some time as winter turns to spring.

Johnson isn't the only bat New York is considering.
