Astros owner Drayton McLane says that the team will honor the ten-year personal services contract they signed with Roger Clemens despite all the hurlers legal woes, according to the Associated Press. There were rumors last week that the team was considering backing out of the contract because of Clemens' latest ordeal. "All the legal troubles, does that jeopardize this?" McLane said. "My answer was, 'I don't know where that's going. We'll just have to wait and evaluate what happens.' But I don't see anything that's occurred right now that would jeopardize his contract. That's what was overstated." |
