The Detroit Free Press has reported that the Tigers have initiated talks with outfielder Curtis Granderson on a long-term contract extension.
Granderson won't be a free agent until after the 2011 season, but Detroit traded all of their centerfielder prospects this summer, increasing their need to keep Granderson around.
