Right-hander Matt Mantei and the Tigers agreed Friday to a minor league contract.

The 34-year-old has pitched 10 seasons, going 14-18 with a 4.07 ERA and 93 saves in 315 appearances with the Marlins (1995-96, 1998-99), Diamondbacks (1999-2004), and Red Sox (2005).
